Here is where you may audition for Alcott. His personality is somewhat like Jack's--though Alcott doesn't anger, and has a happy persona nearly all the time. He's very bright and cheery, willing to help out others. He rides around on his horse Lacey--who is a gorgeous, and large, white mare--like a knight. He is a skilled archer and keeps his immense powers to himself. He will cure sicknesses but deny that he had anything to do with it. He's just a Good Samaritan, thus he calls himself Sam to those who ask.
Anyway, if you'd like to audition, please read over what happened to him--his history--below and PM me a sample roleplay with him and Lacey, showing his personality as you will play him--this will be an intro post, and I will roleplay with you through PM to see how you handle the situation I put him in. After a few back and forth I will either accept or decline your audition depending on how I trust you to keep him active, and to keep him true to what he should be like.
As we roleplay I will give you suggestions and things to change as I see them. If your audition is declined, there will be an explanation to go along with it.
I realize this is a lengthy process, but I want to find someone who is just right to play him because he will be the focal point of our plot.
I hope you guys aren't intimidated by this process, or scared or anything. :] I'm not going to be mean or rude about your audition. When I find the right person this will close and it will be announced here.
Please DON'T post your audition here, PM it to me, and only me. You may post here and comment about the history, plot, or to say that you are interested, but auditioned should be PMed.
Have fun you guys. xD

Alcott was born around AD 914 in Medieval England. He grew up in an area where Magyks were only myths in society. They were feared, they were different, they were killed. Every so often a head of some beast would show up just to keep the people scared about entering the Larsey Forest that stretched far and wide across the European country side. Alcott grew up in great curiosity, he didn't think about the Magyks in the same way as everyone else. They couldn't be all bad. Alcott in fact, had befriended one of them who was living unnoticed in their village. A Shadow named Fringe was a bit older than Alcott as they grew up and Fringe was the one who realized Alcott's power.
When he was 12, Alcott ran away with Fringe, 21, into the forest where no one dared follow. There were a few search parties, but most assumed the pair were dead, killed by the beasts that were rumored to live there. In fact, they had made their way deep into the forest to a place where only those who were gifted as a Magyk of some sort could find. Alcott was trained by the head of the society, his powers honed and focused. He grew up there, living long past the normal age of humans. It was a sheltered society, protected by the element of fear surrounding the forest. That is, until this went horribly, horribly wrong.
When Alcott was 142 the humans rampaged through the forest, burning most of it down, causing the society to flee into the remaining forest. By that time, Alcott had taken on his nephew Ben as his apprentice. He was one of the best Magycians in the forest. He was looked upon to find a solution. Thus he, and his dragon--Harley--and Ben and his dragon--Norman--set off to find a place where the Magyks could live in peace once more. It took them 10 years of searching before they came across the little Island of Fable.
Alcott and Ben scoured the island and found it was the perfect place. They started setting up a town, combining their magic and enchanting the town so it could not be destroyed. As they worked, they would return to England and find Magyks to bring back with them. They recruited the help of many dragons to haul people back and forth. It was quite the operation. Alcott and Ben continued to enforce the town. Originally, when they built the town, the castle was just a large building where the high council of Magyks could gather, and for other events that would be put together. It was only converted to a full castle when the humans came over and Jack used his magic to build the castle in the same way as his father had the rest of the town.
Alcott spent many years being considered the Keeper of the island and helped set up the entire system we see today. During the years he was Keeper, Alcott had romanced with another Magycian, Bea. When he was 689 years old, Alcott's son jack was born. But that would be getting ahead of ourselves--Alcott was Keeper for a long time before Jack was born. Though, nothing of note really happened. Alcott had befriended History in this time on one of his trips back, but everything had stayed very quiet. When Jack was born though, the entire island was abuzz with excitement. The baby had been born with no complications and there was no sort of horrible air about him that tended to come about in this sort of birth. Alcott was overjoyed, and his good little friend History had transformed into a giant dragon in the garden. She was his dragon, Jack's dragon and that was a wonderful thing.
Alcott encouraged his son, and brought Jack out with his often, though never on a trip back to England. Thus we come to Alcott's final trip. He was headed back on a regular trip to check on things back in Larsey when legend says that he was attacked by knights on the edge of the forest. Harley had taken a human form like normal, so they could get to the forest easily, but they were attacked and killed. Thus Alcott never returned to Fable.
What really happened though, isn't all to different. Alcott and Harley were attacked, but they escaped into the forest easily. Alcott put a charm on the surrounding forest so strong it would take ages to wear off. Therefore no one could get in, but also no one could get out. Alcott had trapped himself in his own magic. Unfortunate, but with such a large charm, there was little he could do to break it, without putting the forest at risk.
Alcott and Harley set up a society with the forest dwellers, one not unlike the other. They spent 880 years there. Finally the charm was broken. The magycian Alcott left in charge gave them enough time to get out of the forest before she put up a new charm, herself. Alcott and Harley spent a year or two getting settled to ready for their trip back and now they are here. They have been around for a year unnoticed. Harley is no longer in her dragon form, Alcott cast a permanent spell--can be lifted but only by him--turning her into a Pegasus, though with her wings in, it is almost impossible to tell she is one. Alcott has changed in appearance over the years, but little in personality. He has become more rough, but he still has a generous heart. He doesn't wish to reveal himself, but rather live in peace, popping in on people who need his help the most. He is just considered the Good Samaritan, and if asked for his name, he is Sam and his horse's name is Lacey.
Now that the rumors are out, Alcott is curious to see how his son reacts, but he doesn't plan on revealing himself to them. If they are smart the answer will show itself to them.
