The Myths are those who have stayed in the south with the Magyks, and include humans and Magyks alike.
The Norms are humans who had disowned to Magyks and think them dangerous. They have moved north to a new headquarters and prepare to take out the Magyks. Each has their own reason for leaving the south, while there are some who have been born into this group and have grown to be around 12 years.
The King has 6 Knights who are part of his Council. They are chosen by the King's roleplayer by whatever way they choose. These knights are experienced and extremely loyal. The King also has his Enchanter on his council, as well as one representative of each group of Magyks. The representative is chosen by the Enchanter's roleplayer, myself, and is chosen based on personality and the fit of the character to the role, as well as their roleplayer's activity level.
The Enchanter is the King's relation to the Magyks. He advises him on the happenings. He works with the representatives closely to negotiate the needs of each particular group of Magyks. He is also called the Keeper by the Magyks.
Time There are 10 months in a year and are as follows (listed in order); Magia-36 Days Drago-37 Days Fenice-36 Days Ombra-37 Days Unicorno-36 Days Fata-37 Days Cambiamento-36 Days Elemento-37 Days Imbroglione-36 Days Favola-37 Days This equals out to the same number of days each year. There is a leap year and a day is added to the month of Imbroglione. Spring generally falls in Drago and Fenice, Summer from Ombra to Fata, Fall from Cambiamento to Imbroglione, and Winter in Favola and Magia. And for those who are curious, yes the names of the months are the same ones as the years, but translated to Italian.
Years The years, you could say, are like the Chinese years. There is 'symbol' for each year. Each one is one of the original Magyks that came to the island, and then the special year for the name of the Island. Year of Magyk-Each year ending in 1 Year of the Dragon-Each year ending in 2 Year of the Phoenix-Each year ending in 3 Year of the Shadow-Each year ending in 4 Year of the Unicorn-Each year ending in 5 Year of the Faerie-Each year ending in 6 Year of the Shift-Each year ending in 7 Year of the Element-Each year ending in 8 Year of Trickery-Each year ending in 9 Year of Fable-Each year ending in 0 (Very special years)
Dragons & Riders Dragons may choose a rider, or they may not. It has become less frequent that a dragon chooses a rider, yet there are still a few that feel a connection to whatever person. A dragon can choose a rider of any species, though it is rare for Faeries to be chosen. Not all dragons and riders have a connection (a connection between their minds, when one gets sick or dies so may the other, also includes being able to read each others' thoughts). It depends on how much and how long it takes the rider to accept the position. The longer it takes for a rider to truly accept and care about their dragon, the less of a connection they have. Then there are of course, just some who don't have the connection, no reason, just a strange random occurance.
Houses For those of you wondering about houses, the Magyks and humans all have the same rights to housing. There are many different species living around the castle and in the town down the hill. Some of them live around the castle in nicer stone houses on the hill and enjoy life around the castle. They have a good bit of money really to be able to buy goods within the castle's grounds (which extends to the streets and houses on the hill). They also enjoy the noises from the people and the street performers. The other houses are a slight distance down the hill and are made from some stone, but mostly are wooden with clay. These people are generally farmers, or grow their own food in a small garden, or work for farmers and have little money. Then some choose to make their home in the forest, basically in wood forts and things or tents.
